Bio
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (# 98925) practicing at Counseling and Trauma Therapy, a private practice office located in Burbank, CA in the San Fernando Valley nearby to Studio City, North Hollywood and Sun Valley.
I was mentored by Dr. Laurel Wiig, founder of Porter Ranch Counseling, a prominent and well-known psychotherapist in the Los Angeles area.
In graduate school, I also studied alongside Dr. Thema Bryant-Davis, an inspiring and empowering clinical psychologist, associate professor and researcher at Pepperdine University's Culture and Trauma Lab for three years. My clinical internships were completed at non-profits in the San Fernando Valley and at Porter Ranch Counseling. I participate in trainings and am a peer journal reviewer for academic articles to continue gaining knowledge to be well-rounded and competent in clinical areas.
From 2018-2019, I was a disaster mental health worker to assist in national disaster relief efforts. Some of the recent deployments have included helping survivors of Hurricane Harvey and of the Las Vegas massacre. I recognize the importance of providing immediate psychological trauma care, and with the skills and training that I attain, providing to other communities in need.
In 2018, I became a podcaster and professional speaker and founded Latinx Therapy- a global organization utilizing digital media platforms to destigmatize mental health in the Latinx community.
