Ruth (she/her/hers) is a first-generation Associate Clinical Social Worker and a daughter of Mexican immigrants from Guanajuato, MX. She obtained her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago and her B.A. in Psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Ruth specializes in working with BIPOC young adults, first/second-generation individuals, therapy first-timers, and adolescents. With experience in various community mental health settings, she understands the complexities of navigating identities in different spaces.

Ruth takes a trauma-informed approach to therapy and is EMDR trained, with a focus on helping individuals struggling with anxiety and depression. She provides a safe and collaborative environment for her clients while facilitating exploration of identity and inner work, supporting healing and growth.

Her rate for individual therapy is at $150/session and has limited sliding scale slots from $90-$145/session.

*Ruth has in-person appointments for individual therapy in Burbank and offers remote therapy to residents of CA.
