Silvana Lezama (she/her/ella) is a bilingual Associate Marriage and Family Therapist providing therapy services to clients throughout California. Silvana specializes in working with children (ages 6+), adults, and families navigating trauma, depression, and anxiety. Originally from Perú, Silvana has a deep appreciation for culture, identity, and strength found in community. She believes that healing happens in relationships with ourselves, our loved ones, and the communities that hold us.
Silvana is passionate about providing accessible culturally responsive mental health care to BIPOC individuals and families.
Before becoming a therapist, Silvana worked as a writer, amplifying stories about mental health and the lived experiences of communities of color. She became inspired to pursue a career in mental health after working with system-involved youth, teaching writing and poetry as tools for expression and empowerment.
Silvana’s own journey into motherhood motivates her dedication to maternal mental health and to supporting parents and couples during the postpartum journey. She believes that caring for caregivers is essential to fostering healthy, thriving children and families.
Silvana is trained in EMDR and is currently completing training in TF-CBT. Silvana holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and is the proud mother of one daughter and one beloved fur baby, Bamba (like the song).
